Dave, affectionately known as Mr. Fix-it, is a jack-of-all-trades with an infectious personality. A former high school shop teacher and lifelong DIYer, he brings mechanical expertise and creative problem-solving to my love for floral design. With a background in graphic design and marketing, Dave approaches each project with enthusiasm and ingenuity.

His nickname "Flower Dude" came about during a wedding shoot when another photographer playfully called out, "Hey Flower Dude, you are cramping my style!" Despite not knowing his botanical terminology (he can't distinguish between a rose and a ranunculus), Dave's passion and skill make him my perfect match, and an invaluable part of Flowers & Thyme.

Hi there! I'm the heart and soul behind Flowers & Thyme, nestled here in the beautiful Willamette Valley. My journey with flowers isn't just a business—it's a family legacy. Growing up, my grandma would explore gardens, identifying every bloom we encountered, and my mom always said to "Bloom Where You Are Planted" (words I now live by!).

When we moved to our little yellow house in Springfield back in 1994, everything changed. I finally had the garden space I'd always dreamed of, and my love for flowers blossomed from weekend gardening to a full-blown passion. These days, I'm lucky to work alongside my husband Dave (affectionately known as the "Flower Dude") who helps behind the scenes. From our family garden to creating beautiful arrangements for you, flowers have always been about connection, joy, and sharing a little beauty with the world.
